Alex #9 It had rained all night the ground was looking good today. Almost twice as many AA riders as at the last D-36 race Shasta. I got a mid pack start. My bike sputtered a few times and a couple guys got by me. Then it was fine I saw my buddy Shorty (Randy Mills) the first couple laps we always have fun. I worked my way up picking off a few riders I saw Brian Sperle up ahead of me and I worked at reeling him in. We rode just a couple bike lengths and a few seconds apart from lap three to fourteen. I pitted a lap ahead of Sperle when he pitted next lap I took the lead. But he hunted me down I held him off for--------------. Rodney Spencer Jr had been in fourth for four laps 3/4' through the race when his bike blew up. Sperle went down on the last lap, but it was single track, not only did I not get around him, but I crashed into him. I finshed seventh behind Sperle. We were both beat by ex pro Motocrosser Jeff Brownlee who came out of no where it seemed at the end and flew by us. Garrison #42 I am getting the starts down better I battled Ryan Powell for the holeshot, it was close but he got it. I stayed seconds behind him for 7 laps, I would get up next to him and he would pull away in the open stuff. We set a comfortable pace. They don't make an oversize tank for my bike 450 KTM SX, otherwise I would have pitted when Ryan did. He got away. I had been congested so I wasn't surprised when it started catching up to me, I couldn't breath good and my energy was fading. My buddy Johnny (Jonathan Davis) got out of the pit just before me. He got on Ryan and they started to pull away from me. Johnny was on the gas he won the last D-36 race here. And Ryan's just been on fire. I was just trying to finish at this point. Jordan Brandt was closing in on me. Johnny hit some bad luck when his bike had some major electrical failure. His Stater blew up he was in second and now he was out. Jordan Brandt was picking it up towards the end and passed me he and Ryan are battling for the number one plate. I was lucky it was almost over and more people didn't pass me. I finished in 3rd behind Powell, and Brandt.
Eddie #39 (Oregon #27) These motocross tracks are not my favorite. I really likes the more technical areas the waterfall was awesome and I liked the dry creek beds. And the big up hill and down hill are fun too. I finished eighth in my class of fourteen and 35th overall in the AA/A race of 60 riders.
Ant Man #39 I was feeling good and liking this track, the ground had great traction. I was in second and was making a move on the leader in my class, we had already come into some of the A riders and then I hit a bolder and it through me of coarse and then I crashed. Unfortunately I hit my radiator and fluid was leaking all over. I was done. To bad I really like this place to race, its fun. |
